Specification:

  • Item number: A6113
  • Product material: aluminum alloy
  • Installation position: threaded hole of spring compressor for LS valve
  • Product function: an auxiliary tool for engine maintenance

Instructions:

  • Remove the valve cover and remove the rocker arm and rocker arm guide.
  • Put the bottom aluminum plate on the head with the rocker bolts installed and the middle section on the top with the studs, then use the 2 bolts included to mount it to the head to make sure the tool is on the 2 Intermediate positions between the valve springs.
  • Hand tightens with ratchet and socket. Do not over-tighten to avoid head damage.
  • Put the top on the 2 valve springs and install the included nuts. Make sure there is grease on the studs.

Use suggestions:

  • If you are going to use this valve on an engine-mounted cylinder head, you will need a fitting that uses compressed air in the spark plug hole to keep the valve closed before tightening.
  • Only use hand tools to slowly tighten the nut, do not hit the nut too hard to avoid overheating the nut and stripping the threads!
  • After compressing the spring, you can remove the valve retainer with a magnet to keep it from falling into the head.
  • After removing the retainer, you can reverse the nut and slowly release the pressure and remove the spring.
  • Install new springs using the same steps. When reinstalling the valve retainer, be sure to hold it in place so that it is properly seated before releasing pressure.

Package included:

  • 2 x long Studs

  • 1 x Valve Spring Compressor

  • 2 x Short Studs

  • 4 x Screw Nuts

  • 4 x Gasket
